Saving Money and getting freebies!

It seems that everyone is struggling these days no matter where you look, so I want to share with you all some awesome websites I've found that allow me to get free stuff all the time!

One of my favorites is MySavings.com - it's completely free to join, and you can get free samples of anything from a free Mars chocolate product every Friday, to free skin care, a free portrait package on your child's birthday from Olan Mills, free samples of Huggies DryNights, free samples of Enfamil baby formula, and for those with no children at home, there's still something for everyone - health & wellness samples, home & gardening, office supplies, cooking, magazines, and pet & animal care samples, even automotive offers!

The samples arrive quickly and I've been really happy with my membership.

Another good site is freestuffheadquarters.com - it took me a while to finally find this one, and I love it. It's not only a great source of free samples, but it also has a directory leading you to other sites offering freebies!

Hey,It's Free! all sorts of free samples and great coupons here also. Everything from children, pets, cleaning and food - more than I can mention. And, you can follow them on Twitter & Facebook!

Now, what if there are other useful things you need, like say, furniture, or bedding?

That's where my absolute favorite freebie site comes in. My.Freecycle.org is a local (but also nationwide) online group that is accessed through Yahoo! groups. If you have a yahoo account, sign in, then go to 'groups' and sign up for freecycle. It's completely free to join, and it is a group of residents of Eugene, Springfield, and other surrounding cities (just type your city and state in the Search field to find your local group), and people who have anything from clothes, to televisions, cell phones, loveseats, cameras, lawnmowers, whatever, that are still clean and in good working condition post the items in the group (to be claimed and picked up for free by whoever wants them). The idea is to keep good quality, clean, items that are working and in good condition out of landfills (helping the environment) while also providing a need for someone free of charge (and freeing up space in the donor's home). It's a great site, and I have already recieved countless items of furniture, and even a stationery bike and an ab lounger (both in perfect condition)- completely free!

So, check out some of these links when you have time. It's great to get everyday products, including makeup, health and beauty aids and free magazine subscriptions in the mail when you least expect it. And all of those "little" samples add up to big savings - just for the asking!

I'd love to hear your comments - let me know what you think!
